About CERT-IN

Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN), is a functional organization of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India with the objective of securing Indian cyber space. CERT-IN is designated to perform various functions in cyber security space such as –
  • Collection and dissemination of information on cyber incidents
  • Forecasts and alerts of cyber incidents
  • Emergency response management
  • Issuing guidelines, advisories and vulnerability notes
CERT-IN has created a panel of ‘IT security auditing organisations’ based on the evaluation of their technical and auditing skill. The empanelled auditors are authorized to assess the information security risks, effectiveness of information security controls, vulnerability assessments, Penetration tests against internal and external security threats of the organization requesting to be audited.
